Townsville Poltergeist
UFO/Alien: Connections to the Poltergeist Phenomenon
Erstwhile poltergeist records can be established in the medieval periods in the Far East and also parts of Europe.
The reports signify unexplainable events such as throwing soil, flying objects, horrendous smells, piercing noises, inexplicable lights and otherworldly apparitions.
All these things are at times akin to the still inconsistent reports of contemporary poltergeists and also to some accounts concerning UFO or alien sightings, all of which have created alarm for numerous witnesses. Why precisely poltergeist activity occurs in the first place has been under scrutiny by so-called experts and scientists for decades.
Poltergeists habitually commence and end unpredictably. The distinctive occurrence can last for numerous hours or even several years in the more extreme cases.
Would it be too far-fetched to even imply that such unexplained activity could in fact be of an extraterrestrial nature or is that a misleading perception?
Perhaps, some may suggest, a minority of poltergeist events are occurrences of simply playful aliens having a bit of sport at our expense.
Whereas such a hypothesis may draw gasps of disbelief or even contempt from the conventional parapsychologist it is no less eccentric than some notions I have previously observed. Comparisons between the paranormal and the alien are not that difficult to ascertain.
Perhaps the supernatural and the extraterrestrial are close companions at certain times and as always we do need to keep an open mind...

The patient can live normally, go to work and study, but occasionally he falls into a kind of hysteria where paranormal phenomena manifest, including: speaking in a voice other than his; episodes of contractions and seizures; demonstrations of abnormal strength; telekinetic effects on near and distant objects. The Most Horrific EVP Ever Recorded
Few things about this EVP
- The EVP has not been altered in any way, except it was edited for time. CNY Ghost Hunters have tried to reduce the noise, amplify and "clean" it up, but found it difficult to make out exactly what was being said.
- This EVP was taken on a Saturday at about 3 PM. There are 2 investigators and a member of the family present when the EVP was taken.
- You can hear the 3 females talking throughout the recording. You will hear a female (the family member) say "Hello, Baby" and another long conversation. That is all human voices. But what sounds like a struggle or attack is going on as well.
- The male you hear was not present at the hotel. You will hear a cuckoo clock (which was not present) a ticking of a hall clock (which is there), you will hear what sounds like the microphone being moved (which was not touched) and then the sound becomes clearer. You will hear a creaking door and slamming of the door, which is real. Then you will hear a woman say "Get off me." and what sounds like the woman being attacked. The struggle continues for awhile, and during the EVP, you can hear some of my investigators conversations. After interviewing my investigators, they said they went and sat on the stairs of this hotel, because they heard from an above floor, what sounded like footsteps and conversations, not what you hear on this recording. When the noises stop, you hear the investigators participate in a lulled conversation. They stated that they started to talk when the noises stopped. In their conversation, you will here a male voice, say "Help Me" several times.
Tourist Captures Spooky Image On Camera
Heretic bishops have been burned at the stake and soldiers
shot down during the English Civil War so it’s not surprising Oxford is
regarded as one of the most haunted cities in England. But this spooky spectre
took one tourist by surprise when it appeared in her photograph. The grainy
grey image appears to show a woman in historical dress walking along New
College Lane in Oxford. Sue Tomlinson, 50, was visiting the city with her
sister-in-law Tina Bennett, 52, from Shropshire earlier this month.
They decided to brave Bill Spectre’s Ghost Tour to discover more about the city’s past and the lamppost caught Mrs Tomlinson’s eye. She said: “I thought it looked so beautiful glowing with All Soul’s College in the background I had to take a photo. “When I first saw it I thought it looked strange and wanted to get home and put it on the computer so I could see it bigger. “I don’t know if it’s someone walking past – I didn’t notice because I was concentrating on taking the photo – or if it’s something wrong with my camera, but all my other pictures are fine. “I don’t believe in ghosts – if someone else had taken the photo I would say someone had fixed it. “It looks like someone carrying a bag or a basket and wearing a dress from olden times.” Bill ‘Spectre’ Ritchie said: “I can guarantee I had nothing to do with this photo, she sent it to me out of the blue in an email. “Interestingly, it was on that same lane, New College Lane, that a couple of years ago a Russian girl sent a similar slightly blurry photo. “An Australian woman who claimed to be sensitive to the spirit world was on the ghost trail not long ago, and claimed that New College Lane was the most haunted place she had ever been. “Another local woman said that at 2am last Christmas morning, she was walking along Holywell Street, which runs parallel to New College Lane, when she heard the sound of horses hooves echoing along the silent streets of New College Lane. “You can imagine her reaction when I told her the lane was indeed haunted by the ghosts of Royalist Cavalrymen who would assemble there before battle.”
Oxford’s top five haunted spots are said to be:
- The headless spectre of John Crocker haunts the site of his tomb in the chapel at Exeter College. The Elizabethan scholar appears in a yellow jacket, gown and breeches.
- In 1645, Archbishop Laud was beheaded for his belief in the church against Parliament and was buried beneath the altar in the chapel of St John’s College. The ghost has apparently been seen bowling its head towards the feet of anyone unlucky enough to meet it.
- Magdalen College was founded in 1458 by Bishop Waynflete, Bishop of Winchester. The original site included the13th century St John’s Hospital whose buildings extended east as far as the river. Isis magazine reported on June 5, 1968, that very Sunday morning, a student who was walking across the college lawn saw with astonishment a black-clad figure moving from the cloisters towards him, without a head. He said that the figure glided rather than walked in complete silence.
- The landlord of The Priory in Grenoble Road has had his fair share of encounters and believes the building, which began life as a dormitory for Benedictine nuns is haunted by their spirits. He has heard the sound of children running up and down his landing and often hears a woman in high heels walking past the pub in the middle of the night.
- Empress Matilda allegedly haunts the stairs of Oxford Castle in her white gown. She began living at the castle in 1141 but it was besieged by her cousin King Stephen and she was forced to flee in the night, in white to disguise herself against the snow.

"Ghosts" Found at County Museum
Britain's Most Haunted Manor House for Sale
Wymering Manor has been the site of ghost stories and
paranormal investigations for years. Originally built in the 16th century as a
vicarage and monastery the property is expected to fetch £375,000 and comes
with a long history of ghost stories, paranormal experiences and other unusual
goings on.
This building still has two 'priest holes' where Catholics hid to escape persecution. Investigators of the paranormal claim to have sensed the presence of between 20 to 30 spirits in the home, including those of children laughing and whispering.
Wymering Manor has gained a reputation among ghost hunters for high levels of paranormal activity, including sudden drops in temperature and strange apparitions. A former resident, David Scanlan, found the living and the dead got along fine.
Pythian Castle Now Certified as an Official Haunted Place
“Paranormal experiences at the castle include strange sounds, voices, cold spots and images,” said Tim Piland, who gives tours there – He has spent several nights at the castle, reports Sarah Bennett for News
”Many professionals have visited Pythian Castle over the years
and confirmed hauntings,” he said.
“The entities at the castle are more active when there are
people around,” Finocchiaro said. ”They react to the people,” she said. “I
think they’re bored when there’s no one around. There’s no one to play with.”
“There are multiple entities haunting the castle,”
Finocchiaro said, “such as children from its days as an orphanage and men from
its military days.”
“The ghosts are not malevolent,” she said, “but they are
protective of the castle and can be mischievous toward those who disrespect
their home.”
According to Bennett, “One of the castle’s well known ghosts is ‘Jeff,’ whom Finocchiaro said will respond to visitors who disturb him.”
